These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of all content and services (the "Service") provided by Nobel Prize Net (the "Site"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by all provisions of these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

  1. These Terms apply to every relationship that arises between the Site operator and any user with respect to the use of the Service.
  2. Where the Site provides separate terms for specific features, those separate terms form part of these Terms.
  3. If any separate term conflicts with these Terms, the separate term prevails.

Article 2 (Definitions)

In these Terms:

  • "Laureate information" means information the Site publishes about the Nobel Prize and other awards.

  8. Any other conduct the Site deems inappropriate

Article 5 (Intellectual property rights)

  1. Intellectual property rights in the text, images, logos, layouts, programs, and other materials that constitute the Service belong to the Site or the applicable rights holders.
  2. The name, logo, and related marks of the Nobel Prize belong to the Nobel Foundation. Nobel Prize Net is an independent project operated separately from the Nobel Foundation and does not represent its official views.
  3. Users must not copy, reproduce, translate, adapt, publicly transmit, or otherwise use the Content beyond the scope of personal use, except for quotations that comply with copyright law and that clearly attribute the source.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Site makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose of any information provided through the Service.
  2. The Site is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
  3. The Site is not liable for any disputes between users and third parties that arise in connection with the Service.
  4. The Site is not liable for any damages arising from interruption, suspension, termination, or loss of data in the Service.

Article 7 (Accuracy of information)

  1. The Site endeavours to maintain the accuracy of Content, including laureate information, but information may diverge from the latest authoritative sources due to translation constraints or delays in upstream updates.
  2. Users should always consult the official sites of the respective awards and the primary sources when making any important decisions.

Article 8 (Changes to the Service)

The Site may change, add to, suspend, or terminate the Service at any time without prior notice to users. The Site is not liable for any damages arising from such changes.

Article 9 (Changes to these Terms)

  1. The Site may change these Terms at any time without prior notice to users when it deems a change necessary.
  2. The revised Terms take effect once they are posted on the Site.
  3. If a user uses the Service after the Terms are revised, that user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

Article 10 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute arising between a user and the Site in relation to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Site operator as the court of first instance.
