マグサイサイ賞
1957年にロックフェラー兄弟財団の支援とフィリピン政府の協力で創設され、1958年に第1回授与が行われた。政府奉仕、公的奉仕、社会指導、報道・文学・創造的情報伝達、平和・国際理解の5部門で授与され、2001年に新興指導者部門が加わった。2009年以降は新興指導者を除き部門を設けず授与されている。受賞者は人種・信条・性別・国籍を問わず選ばれ、授賞式は毎年8月31日にマニラで開催される。受賞者にはメダルと賞金が授与され、アジアのノーベル賞とも称される。
